A Heartbeat Between Worlds

A designer didn’t create this website — I did. Every section, every header, every linked page was built by my own hands. I’m not a web designer or technically savvy by any means, but I needed to do this myself. It was cathartic.
This website represents far more than a business. It’s the beginning of a new life — a reflection of my heart, my energy, and the vibration I want to share with every reader and every human being I touch moving forward.
The banner at the top of my website took me seventeen hours to create. Sharing how long it took me is not to impress you--its actually a glimpse into my focus and stubbornness; also my lack of design savvy! It’s not perfect, and that’s exactly why it’s beautiful. It’s not clip art or a stock image — it’s my actual heart rhythm from the night I died on September 19, 2010.
When I revisited my medical records and heart monitor strips from that night, it stirred emotions I didn’t expect. The first jagged section of the strip shows my heart racing out of control. The flat line in between represents thirty-nine minutes of death — a space of stillness between chaos and calm. The final wave shows my normal rhythm returning, forty-one minutes later.
Splicing those strips together wasn’t just a design choice. It was an act of truth. It reminded me how fragile life can be — and how sacred. Even after fifteen years, the memory is still tender: sorrow mixed with joy, grief wrapped in gratitude.
That banner is more than art. It’s a message. It’s a mirror of what life feels like for so many of us — the racing, the chaos, the moments where everything flatlines and we wonder if we’ll ever return to normal again.
You may not be having a cardiac episode, but maybe you’ve felt that same kind of energetic chaos. No human being deserves to live in that vibration forever.
My banner tells a story — not of death, but of coming back to life. And that’s what LorriBrewer.com is really about: helping you find peace between the beats of your own life.
My Blog Insights & Inspirations: Walking Beside You
I understand what it feels like when life races faster than your heart can keep up — when everything inside you trembles between chaos and silence.
I’ve been there too, standing in that strange stillness where everything ends and somehow begins again. Coming back to life after loss — of any kind — changes you. It rearranges how you see love, time, and yourself.
I share these Insights & Inspirations not to teach, but to walk beside you — to remind you that even in your quietest moments, you’re not walking alone.
If you find yourself somewhere between the flatline and the heartbeat, trust that life still moves within you. It may be softer now, but it’s still yours. And one gentle beat at a time, it will lead you forward. Don’t give up.
